Rules for safe and happy blogging

• Never post or share personal information online.
• Don’t use full names, instead use forenames – e.g. Rachel B, Luke G, Kejal P etc.
• Never share usernames or passwords.
• Never meet anyone face-to-face whom you only know online.
• You should always talk to your parents about what you do online.
• Always tell a teacher/parent if you see something that makes you feel scared, uncomfortable or confused.

Writing Posts/Comments

• Write in full sentences – no “text talk” please.
• Always check your writing carefully before posting.
• Use appropriate langauge at all times.
• Be polite, friendly and encouraging.
• When commenting on others work, try and be helpful and constructive.
• Stay on the topic being discussed, school blogs are not appropriate places to socialise.
• Inappropriate/off topic posts and comments will be deleted.
• Do not plagiarise or copy other peoples work.
